Scientific Literature

The summaries and reviews of scientific literature in the Meristem Literature Library consist of original research papers, review articles and abstracts.  While only a few of the original research papers meet the rigorous standards of the scientific community as prospective, randomized, double-blind clinical trials with statistically significant results, they nonetheless form a framework for further research.  As such, they pose interesting questions and, it is hoped, inspire us to further work.  Scientific research is intended to be carefully scrutinized.  In that spirit, the summaries and reviews to follow contain both positive and negative assessments.
