Books

Books related to nature and human health and well-being focus on issues such as theory, design, history, and spirituality.  Some may be memoirs or historical accounts, while others may be textbooks. Some may be narrow in focus, while others may cover a topic with great breadth and depth.  Some authors present a balanced point of view, others a singular position without opposing or alternative ideas or data.   Some books are extensively referenced; many are inspirational.

Often the author conceives an idea years before commencing the writing. With such a lapse between inspiration, writing and publication, the material may be dated. This should be kept in mind by the reader.  The books selected for review below are significant references for professionals in fields that address nature and health, as well as for general audiences.
