Meristem was created to support nature’s role in human health and well-being. We designed educational resources to influence practices in the fields of medicine & healthcare, landscape architecture & design, and public health & urban planning. Since the three founders (David Kamp, Nancy Gerlach-Spriggs and Anne Wiesen) came together in 1999 much has changed. Healthcare professionals now strongly advocate for the inclusion of more natural environments from daylight and views to the outdoors to the role of plants and soothing sounds of water and birds. Many new organizations have been created to build on this progress. Meristem considers its initial educational purpose now complete and invites you to view the graphic logo to learn how we have grown, and where you can find new contexts for interdisciplinary efforts formerly supported by Meristem.

Of special note, the Meristem Library of scientific journal and book reviews has been donated to the Therapeutic Landscape Network.
